Teaching at Choma

For the last several years John has joined several pastors in teaching courses at a Local Training Center based at Choma Pentecostal Church. Dawn also teaches there from time to time. Bishop G. Simuusa is the pastor of Choma Pentecostal Church. Rev. Smart Kobela, the Southern District Secretary, is responsible for this Center. In operation since 2004, attendance has usually run about 12-15 at the week-long sessions, which are held three times per year. Those taking the courses include several pastors and church planters, as well as a number of local church leaders. The first group of graduates was recognized at a District-wide Conference in August 2007. While in Choma, John has also preached at Rev. Simuusa's church from time to time.
